U.S. President Barack Obama said he is not disappointed at current relations with Russia.

“ I don’t feel let down. We had a very productive relationship with President Medvedev,” he said in an interview with The Economist.

He admitted that a lot of things were done together, but called Russia a country having “a Janus-like quality” both looking east and west.

Obama believes that Putin's actions are harmful for Russia in a long term, “but in the short term can be politically popular at home and very troublesome abroad,”.
