YEREVAN.  -- The 20-year-old Armenian soldier who was wounded while repelling Azerbaijani act of sabotage and later died in the military hospital, did not lose spirit and encouraged relatives till the last minute. Sargis Movsisyan was talking to his father and uncle.

“He talked to us when he was at the hospital. Sargis said he just does not feel his legs. He sustained wound in his armpit, the bullet entered the lung, and then the spine. The second, seventh, eighth vertebrae were damaged. This gave hope that he will live, but Sargis died several hours later from heart failure. These few hours he was alive because he was strong. Being at the hospital, he spoke to his father and urged him not to come. He said: 'Dad, I'm okay, do not come here'. A few hours later, he died,” soldier's uncle told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Deputy commander of the military unit where Sargis was serving said he was a brave solider.

“On the night of August 2, the adversary by a large group of 30 - 35 people attacked positions where Sargis was serving. We have repelled the attack, and they started firing at us from the heavy machine guns. Sargis was wounded and was taken to hospital. He was a very brave solider”.

Sargsis had to come back from service in two months. His parents returned from Russia on Monday. His uncle said Sargis did not plan going to Russia. The soldier said he would stay there to take care of the grandfather's house.
