YEREVAN. – Tension on Armenia-Azerbaijan border is reducing, spokesperson for Armenian Defense Minister Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He said there were shots at night and in the morning, but relatively fewer.
“Fortunately, the Armenian side did not suffer losses. The adversary opened random fire. Armenian side responded in some cases only. In any case, one thing is clear: there is a tendency to weakening of tensios, while the Armenian side is fully controlling the situation,” Hovhannisyan added.
Over the recent days Azerbaijani side made several attempts of reconnaissance and diversion action at the line of contact, but the opposing side was thrown away. Official Baku recognized the death of over 20 servicemen. Seven Armenian troops were killed while repelling adversary’s acts of sabotage.
