STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan on Monday convoked a working consultation devoted to a range of domestic and foreign policy issues.

Special attention was paid to the situation along the NKR border, increasing the combat-readiness of the Artsakh, the process of the NKR’s international recognition, and the activities carried out in various sectors of the country’s economy, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

Sahakyan expressed his gratitude to the NKR Defense Ministry, the command staff and all the personnel of the NKR Defense Army, and to the relevant units of several other structures for keeping the state’s border impregnable, thwarting the adversary’s infiltration attempts and maintaining stability and peace in the region, and noted that their work is among the best manifestations of self-devotion, high professionalism and patriotism, which inspires pride to all Armenians.

The President also gave specific instructions to the persons in charge of the respective structures on the matters discussed and their effective implementation.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, NKR National Assembly Speaker Ashot Ghulyan, PM Ara Harutyunyan, and several other officials attended the consultation.
