YEREVAN. – Over recent ten days at least 500 Yazidis were massacred by the Islamic group in Iraq's north, chairman of the Armenian Union of Yazidis Aziz Tamoyan said on Tuesday.

Tamoyan said the Muslim world does not respect other nations and wants to exterminate Christians and Yazidis

“The world powers, UN, Council of Europe should take immediate steps. At the U.S. Embassy we expressed willingness to make the territory of 10,000 square kilometers, where Yazidis live, an administrative area of the United States. We are ready to become a colony, if only there is no genocide,” Tamoyan said, adding that Yazidis are sharing the fate of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.

For over a week the Islamic State have been exterminating the local residents in a territory of 10,000 square kilometers populated by Yazidis in north of Iraq.
