YEREVAN. – Over 29 tons of hemp and 26 kilos of poppy have been destroyed as of August 13 within the framework of preventive measures conducted by the Armenian law enforcers.
The investigators detected 32 cases of illegal drug trade, and four criminal cases have been launched.
The purpose of the events is detection and destruction of wild hemp and poppy, as well as illegally grown drugs, within the framework of a program on fight against drug trafficking.
