STEPANAKERT. – The National Revival party expressed concern over the genocide of Yazidis perpetrated by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant terrorist group in Iraq's north.

The party issued a statement recalling that Yazidis living in Armenia always fulfilled their duty to Armenia and the Armenian nation during Turkish invasion in 1918 and during Karabakh war.

“The party condemns the countries that participated in the creation and funding of a terrorist group “the Islamic State” and states these countries are also involved in the genocide of Yazidis,” the statement reads.

The National Revival party has called President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan to make a clear statement in connection with the Yazidi genocide in Iraq's north and offers the Nagorno-Karabakh government together with the Yazidi organizations to learn about their needs in order to provide humanitarian assistance.
