The Government of Armenia will spare no financial resources to prepare the Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary events, to “more magnificently” present the reality to the entire world.

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stated the aforesaid during the official opening of the Baze (Falcon) 2014 pan-Armenian youth gathering in Tsaghkadzor city.

“There are numerous programs, which will cost more than about 6 million drams [approx. $14,624,562] to the government. We will try to attract charitable programs, so that the entire [amount] is not left on our state budget,” the PM said.

As per Abrahamyan, many international organizations and foreign MPs do not know what exactly happened one-hundred years ago, and that is why the Armenian government must try to hold the genocide centennial commemoration events in the best way possible.

“People need to witness the history that occurred one-hundred years ago. We need to do everything so that more guests come to Armenia, [and] become aware of the reality,” Hovik Abrahamyan stated.
