YEREVAN. – “Do you have preliminary observations as to what extent your [i.e., the four non-government National Assembly (NA) factions’] demands are met [by the Government]? The [respective] ‘deadline’—September 30—set by the statement is not far off, and radical changes [by the government] are unlikely to be recorded during that period.”

Responding to the aforesaid query by Hayots Ashkharh daily, Stepan Margaryan, who is a member of the NA faction of the non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP)—which is a part of the aforementioned “parliamentary four”—, specifically noted:    

“It’s hard to expect a radical change, but it will not be correct on my part to summarize and assess without the [parliamentary] four [Armenian National Congress, PAP, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage], or outside the format of the four. The four shall consider and make a decision.   

“[But] I can just say only very approximately: There are matters where there is a positive process, but there are numerous matters where no progress has been recorded. 

“I believe the four will assemble soon, and we will speak about our future courses of action after the session.”
