The transit of Russian gas to Armenia that was suspended due to a landslide in Georgia may be resumed on Saturday.

“The 1,200-millimeter gas pipeline will be renovated in the morning, and Armenia will be able to receive gas,” Georgian Deputy Energy Minister said.

Ilia Eloshvili noted they plan to build a new section of pipeline, and the works will last about two weeks, Interfax reported.

The gas supply to Armenia was suspended due to an accident on the North Caucasus-Transcaucasia main natural gas pipeline in Georgia.
