A 5.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded Saturday morning in Sumar city, in Kermanshah Province of western Iran, reported IRNA news agency of Iran.
The hypocenter of the seismic activity was 15 km beneath the surface.
There are no reports on any casualties or devastation.
Several earthquakes have occurred recently in the western regions of Iran, recalled Trend news agency of Azerbaijan.
