STEPANAKERT. – The mechanisms that allow investigating incidents on the contact line in the conflict zone could be created only if there was a political will, which does not exist in Azerbaijan, the Nagorno Karabakh Republic President’s spokesperson David Babayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In an interview to Armenian News - NEWS.am Babayan commented on the statement by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkina, who stressed the importance of a mechanism for investigation of the incidents in the conflict zone, in order to reduce the risks of such incidents.

According to David Babayan, Karabakh has always stated that it supports the creation of such mechanisms.

“This implies the solution of technical problems that need to be developed by all sides of the conflict together with the OSCE observation mission,” Nagorno Karabakh Republic President’s spokesperson said.
