YEREVAN. – The traffic has been restored on Vanadzor-Dilijan Highway in Armenia’s Lori Region.

The Rescue Service had received an emergency call, on Thursday at 5:01pm, that according to preliminary data, a rockslide had occurred on the motorway, in close proximity to Lermontov village, and as a result, the traffic on the road had become one-way.

A fire and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene, the Rescue Service informed.

It was found out that the said section of the motorway had filled with water debris due to the heavy rains, and therefore the traffic had become one-way.

The fire and rescue workers, together with the Lori Road Construction company crew, started clearing the road. As a result, traffic resumed at 7:50pm.
