STEPANAKERT. – In connection with the 23rd anniversary of the declaration of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan signed decrees on decorating with state awards and conferring honorary titles.
Accordingly, two individuals were posthumously awarded with the Battle Cross Order of the second degree, and for their exclusive bravery and personal courage during the defense of the Motherland.
Four others were awarded with the For Courage medal, and for their personal bravery during the defense of the Motherland.
In addition, 83 individuals were awarded—seven of whom posthumously—with the For Service in Battle medal, and for their contribution to the defense of the Motherland and courage while defending its state borders
Four were awarded with the Mkhitar Gosh Medal, four others were decorated with the Vachagan Barepasht Medal, and 26 individuals were awarded the Gratitude medal, and for their services rendered to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
And NKR honorary titles were conferred to a group of individuals, and for their substantial contribution to the development of culture, art, and physical culture.
