YEREVAN. – Representatives of Armenian foreign ministry and political analysts should first of all outline the goals that official Yerevan wanted to achieve by participating in inauguration of Turkey president.

Stepan Safaryan, head of Armenian Institute of International and Security Affairs, official Yerevan cannot explain what they want to achieve by this trip.

“We need to discuss the atmosphere under which Yerevan can achieve the goals of this trip. However, one should not have high expectations from the presence of Armenian side at the inauguration,” Sarfaryan said.

The analyst links official Yerevan's position to the ongoing processes over Turkey: Yerevan is trying to join the strategy linked to relations between West and Turkey.

As reported earlier, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian attended the ceremony of inauguration in Ankara on Thursday.
