Several Jewish organizations of U.S. intend to omit usual meeting with the representatives of Turkish ruling Justice and Development party held in Washington. Representatives of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and B’nai Brith International and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) decided to decline the invitation, Haaretz reports.

The decision followed recent deterioration in Turkish-Israeli relations.

“I believe in dialogue and meetings but there is a point at which it becomes useless to have a conversation,” Haaretz quotes the ADL National Director Abraham Foxman. “Let them first reconcile with Israeli government, and them I’ll be delighted to talk to them,” he added.

According to the source, American Jewish Committee (AJC) will attend the meeting, saying that relations between U.S., Turkey and Israel “shouldn’t be easily discarded.”
