The Turkish authorities are not satisfied with the Armenian Genocide denial in their country, stated the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF).

CCAF condemned the Ankara-based Centre for Eurasian Studies (AVIM) booklet, titled “The Events in 1915 and Armenian-Turkish Controversy on History,” which is disseminated these days in French universities and institutions.

Even though this booklet speaks about the aspiration for “reconciliation between Armenians and Turks” by way of a “just a memory,” it puts forward misleading arguments in favor of the denial of the Armenian Genocide and puts on the same level surface the “suffering of the Armenians and the Turks” during the First World War, CCAF reported.

The Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France hereby called upon the country’s authorities to take measures in the fight against those in France who kill recollections, and prepare a bill that will enable to use legal means to fight against this new type of crime.
