YEREVAN. – Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian met, on Tuesday in New York City, with his Romanian colleague, Titus Corlățean.   

The two FMs exchanged views on the avenues for expanding the legal and contractual framework, developing the trade and economic ties, and deepening the interparliamentary and decentralized cooperation between the two countries, informed the Armenia MFA press service.     

Nalbandian and Corlățean underscored the need to hold regular political consultations between the MFAs of Armenia and Romania, and to invigorate collaboration within international organizations. They also reflected on Armenia-European Union relations. 

At the request of the Romanian FM, Nalbandian spoke about the ongoing joint efforts, by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries, to achieve a pacific settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.         

On the same day, Edward Nalbandian met with Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga. 

Nalbandian noted that although Armenia has not formally recognized Kosovo, such meetings are useful for the exchange of views. 

Jahjaga, for her part, spoke about  Kosovo’s relations with its neighboring countries.

The interlocutors exchanged ideas on several international priority matters.
