YEREVAN. – The cement truck crashed into the train on Yerevan – Yeraskh route, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

According to the South Caucasian Railway press service, the incident occurred on Oct. 1 at 8:30 am.

“The vigilance of the locomotive crew and competent actions taken for an emergency stop of the train allowed to avoid any injuries. It should be noted that the truck driver not only ignored the warning signals installed on this crossing but also saw the approaching train and yet did not stop,” stressed the press service.

The collision occurred as a result of the negligence of the driver, who had forgotten that at a railway crossing the priority is always given to the train. The South Caucasus Railway once again reminded drivers to follow the rules and cross intersections with caution and care.
