YEREVAN. – Opposition MP, former Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanyan does not wish to comment on the rumors about his being appointed head of the Armenian National Assembly (NA) delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
Arzumanyan told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am, and noted that he had heard about this information from reporters and he does not wish to make any comments.
Haykakan Zhamanak daily had reported that according to well-informed sources, after the recent negative developments at the PACE, the Armenian power elite is discussing the matter of whether to dismiss NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan from her capacity as head of the Armenian NA delegation to the PACE.
“They say that this position may be offered to Armenia’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Arzumanyan, as an experienced diplomat,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote, in particular.
