The United States and Russia agreed the sanctions against Iran and North Korea should be boosted, U.S. President Barack Obama stated at a joint press conference with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev after top-level talks.

According to President Obama, U.S. and Russia have some disagreements on Georgia, but Moscow and Washington see prospects of maintaining stability in the country.

Referring to the situation in Kyrgyzstan, Obama said it should be settled through international efforts. In response, Medvedev said Russia is not yet planning to send peacekeepers to the country, RIA Novosti reports.
