President of Russia Vladimir Putin expects positive macroeconomic affect from Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.

“We hope that in one or two years after Armenia's accession we will see positive macroeconomic affect,” he said in Minsk.

Putin pointed to the fact that trade turnover between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan used to be high, growing by 10 percent every year, TASS reported.

Russian leader said other economic indicators, such as GDP, employment, consumer demand and real income should improve.

President Putin hopes that parliaments of the Union's member states will approve Armenia's accession to the Union by the end of this year.
