Incumbent Bolivian President Evo Morales and his supporters have begun celebrating victory in the country’s general elections, the BBC Russian Service reported.

According to the source, Morales has won the presidential elections by a vote of 61 percent.

The exit polls show that Morales’ party, the Movement Toward Socialism, has maintained a majority in the country’s Senate and Chamber of Deputies.

As a result, Evo Morales, who became Bolivia’s first indigenous president in 2006, will assume a third term in office.
