An article titled “Nagorno-Karabakh: 20 years after ceasefire” has been published in the September issue of Alerte magazine.

In particular, the author says that historical territory of Armenia has been handed over to Azerbaijan.

“After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Armenians making up the vast majority of the population in Karabakh, begin fight against Azerbaijan to win their freedom. The Republic of Artsakh, which has not been recognized internationally but is supported by Armenia, was established,” the author said.

Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, the journalist said that in diplomatic terms the process has stalled due to the fact that Baku does not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as a negotiating party, making it difficult to make mutual concessions.
