The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor-Popov (Russia), Bernard Fassier (France) and Robert Bradtke (U.S.) will pay a visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan in early July, as arranged at the Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani presidential meeting in St Petersburg, a senior diplomatic source informed NEWS.am. The mediators will discuss a meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers, Edward Nalbandian and Elmar Mammadyarov, to be held in Kazakhstan.

On June 26, the Presidents of Russia, U.S. and France - Dmitry Medvedev, Barack Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy made a joint statement on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“Now the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan need to take the next step and complete the work on the Basic Principles to enable the drafting of a peace agreement to begin.  We instruct our Ministers and Co-Chairs to work intensively to assist the two sides to overcome their differences in preparation for a joint meeting in Almaty on the margins of OSCE Informal Ministerial,” the statement reads.
