U.S. invested a great deal of energy in normalized relations among Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, Assistant Secretary Philip Crowley told a briefing.
“We’re going to have a couple of briefers for you early next week and then go into this in greater detail. This is a reflection of our commitment to work to resolve outstanding issues that have prevented normalized relations among those countries,” he added.
As to the Secretary’s forthcoming trip to Armenia and Azerbaijan, Crowley stated that Hillary Clinton will have the opportunity to visit two of those countries and Washington will further the discussions that they had with these states.
