YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi, who is President of the Pontifical Council for Culture of the Roman Curia, the administrative apparatus of the Holy See.

The Premier highly praised Armenia’s cooperation with the Holy See and stressed the latter’s role. Abrahamyan also gave a high assessment to Cardinal Ravasi’s activities which, as per the PM, also contribute to the familiarity with the Armenian spiritual culture, which is a part of the world cultural heritage.

Cardinal Ravasi, for his part, underscored bilateral cooperation to present the Armenian culture at the Holy See in the best possible way, and expressed the hope that mutual visits will add to the strengthening of relations between Armenia and the Vatican.

The interlocutors also conferred on the organization of events devoted to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, and the spread of Armenian culture within the international arena.
