Turkey has nothing to do in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, Secretary of the ruling Republican Party parliamentary group Eduard Sharmazanov told a press conference on Tuesday.

“Turkey again tries to link the reestablishment of Armenian-Turkish relations to the Karabakh issue and the Karabakh problem to the 1915 Genocide. We made it clear that we have no intention to discuss our people’s Genocide with Turkey. We spare no efforts to achieve international recognition,” said Sharmazanov.

“Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan lies in teeth by claiming he submitted a proposal to the second Armenian President Robert Kocharyan to set up a historical committee to investigate the events, and got no response. He certainly got a reply, saying that it was an intergovernmental issue outside the framework of historical research,” the MP stated.
