make preferableYEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Armenia, on Thursday arrived in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) on a working visit.
Sargsyan, together with NKR President Bako Sahakyan, and the defense ministers and high-ranking commanders of the armed forces of the two Armenian republics, will visit—within the framework of the Unity 2014 operational and tactical joint military exercises of the Armenia and the NKR Armed Forces—several NKR Defense Army units, get familiarized with the combat-readiness of the armed forces and the army-building activities, and watch demonstration lessons, informed the Press Office of the President.
Before heading for the NKR, however, Serzh Sargsyan visited the training ground of a military unit in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Region. He watched the combat shooting exercise, and encouraged the more outstanding military servicemen.
