Nagorno-Karabakh Republic—or Artsakh—National Assembly (NKR NA) Speaker Ashot Ghulyan continues his working visit to Washington, DC.

On Wednesday, Ghulyan met at the US Congress with congress members Brad Sherman and Anna Eshoo. They discussed the Artsakh-related matters that are on the agenda of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, and outlined the directions of future cooperation.  

At the request of the Congress members, the NKR NA leader presented the latest developments and the key challenges in the settlement of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict. Ghulyan also thanked Congress members Sherman and Eshoo for their encouraging remarks and objective assessments during Tuesday’s event that was held at the US Congress, and which was devoted to the 23rd anniversary of the NKR.

On the same day, the Embassy of Armenia in Washington, DC. hosted a reception in honor of the speaker of Artsakh’s parliament. In his welcoming remarks, Ashot Ghulyan summed up the accomplishments of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s years of independence, and underscored the need to jointly face the present-day challenges.
