YEREVAN. – A special group has been set up by the order of Armenia's police chief Vladimir Gasparyan to investigate the murder of a Gyumri family.
The group is headed by deputy chief of police Hunan Poghosyan, spokesperson for Armenian police Ashot Aharonyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to agency's sources, Gyumri police beefed up security after a murder of six members of one family. Police are drawing special attention to security of schools and public places.
As reported earlier, six members of one family were shot dead in the city of Gyumri. According to preliminary data, serviceman of Russian military base is suspected of the crime. Commander of the military base Andrey Ruzinsky has arrived at the scene.
Earlier it was revealed that a wounded baby was found at the scene near his mother's body. The criminal probably thought that the baby was dead.
