YEREVAN. – The Crisis Management Center of Armenia registered 464 emergency cases during the New Year and Armenian Christmas holidays, which stretched from December 31, 2014 to January 11, 2015.

Accordingly, the number of emergencies increased by 90, as compared to the year past.

A total of 22 people were killed and 97 others were injured as a result of the emergencies that were recorded during the same time last year.

Even though the number of fires, traffic accidents, and poisoning dropped, the number of blocked vehicles and black ice-related and domestic emergency calls increased this year as compared to 2014.

In addition, reports on wild animal attacks on humans were registered this year.
