YEREVAN. – A 85-year-old Armenian villager who was injured by Azerbaijani sniper has been transferred to a hospital room after undergoing a surgery.

Levon Andreasyan, a 85-year-old resident of Movses village, said he was heading to a cattle shed when he was hit by a sniper.

“One bullet hit my leg, another hit the donkey,” Levon told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

When the shots were over, the old man managed to throw himself into a small wagon behind the donkey.

“The donkey took me to the village,” he said.

The old man said this year's shooting is unprecedented, and the village had not ever been targeted so much. He explained that 20 hectares land belonging to the villagers is just 2 kilometer far from Azerbaijani positions, therefore the villagers would hardly have a chance to work in the fields this year.
