At the July 16-17 meeting in Amlaty, the overwhelming majority of the OSCE foreign ministers confirmed unacceptability of the conflict resolution by military means, CSTO Secretary General said at the press conference in Yerevan on Tuesday.

According to him, the same stance is adopted on the Karabakh issue as well. During the informal ministerial, OSCE foreign ministers also expressed their negative attitude towards use of force, stressing that this way of resolving a conflict is unpromising, Nikolay Bordyuzha added.

The Heads of Delegation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries released a joint statement in Almaty. “They reiterated that the elements articulated by Presidents Medvedev, Sarkozy, and Obama on July 10, 2009 at L’Aquila and repeated at Muskoka on June 26, 2010 must be the foundation of any fair and lasting settlement to the conflict. These proposed elements have been conceived as an integrated whole, and any attempt to select some elements over others would make it impossible to achieve a balanced solution,” the statement reads.
