On July 19, Turkish Vice Prime Minister Bulent Arinc visited the Armenian Patriarchate in Constantinople.  He met with the newly elected Deputy Patriarch of Constantinople Archbishop Aram Ateshyan. The representatives of the local Armenian community presented Arinc the problems of the community.

Turkish Vice PM thanked for the warm reception and stressed he personally decided to visit the Patriarchate to congratulate Ateshyan. Bulent Arinc stressed the good services of Armenian hospital Surp Prkich, noting the Armenian community should be proud of that institution.

Archbishop Atehsyan handed “Armenians artists in the Ottoman Empire” book to Arinc.
