YEREVAN. – An Armenian conscript serving in Russian border detachment Artur Afyan will be laid to rest on March 10, relatives of the serviceman told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
His family said the man died from asphyxia , but it is not clear whether he was hanged or he had hanged himself. The man had cigarettes and a lighter in his pocket. The relatives do not know when he died.
As reported earlier, an Armenian conscript serving in Russian border detachment went missing on February 21.
The body was found on Sunday afternoon, and later the dead was identified as a serviceman of border department A.S. Afyan, the Russian border department said in a statement.
Artur Afyan, 26, called his wife and said he would not come back. According to some reports, the family had debts.
