Intensification of Kurdish rebels’ activities in the Middle East will cause tension between the Kurdish Diaspora and Kurds in the Middle East. Iran, Turkey and Syria firmly oppose creation of the Kurdish statehood, Anatoly Tsiganok, the head of the Institute for Political and Military Analysis told NEWS.am.

The expert considers that the Kurdish Diaspora reckons on U.S. assistance. After Iraq was split, Northern Kurdistan was created in the north of Iraq with the help of U.S., he noted. However, the expert deems that Iraq will remain split. An internationally recognized state of Kurdistan is likely to be established in the north of Iraq, uniting the Kurdish Diaspora, whereas Shiite south and Sunni north will remain.

Anatoly Tsiganok also noted that no one will back creation of Kurdish autonomy in the territory of Turkey, taking into account good relations of Ankara with Washington and Moscow.

Firstly, Turkey’s constitution forbids creation of autonomy in the country’s territory, secondly Ankara threatened to leave NATO when it learnt of Washington’s intention to create Kurdistan in the north of Iraq.

Anatoly Tsiganok thinks that Kurds are unlikely to seize the eastern Turkey by force, as Turkish army is one of the most powerful in the world.
