The ruling New Azerbaijan Party broadly applies Western election technologies, said Deputy Executive Secretary, MP Siyavush Novruzov, Trend agency reports.

"We begin the electoral process not immediately after its official launch, but instead much earlier. We will be ready for each and every stage of the election. This is one reason for our success," he said.

Novruzov stressed that the ruling party is successfully continuing to prepare for the elections.

"The social and political situation in Azerbaijan in the run-up to the elections is normal. The government is taking the necessary measures to ensure free and transparent elections,” he said.

Parliamentary elections will be held in Azerbaijan in autumn 2010. The last legislative elections were held in November 2005. The parliamentary elections are held by the majority system in 125 electoral constituencies in Azerbaijan.

New Azerbaijan Party is headed by President Ilham Aliyev.
