On July 29 at about 22:30 Yerevan time fire broke out in the territory of Arkayadzor restaurant, 100 m far from the Yerevan zoo. According to preliminary information, it might be caused by a firework.

Presently firemen are fighting the fire, NEWS.am correspondent reports from the site. Smoke drifts in the direction of the zoo.  

Photojournalist Gagik Shamshayn tried to shoot the fire, but the restaurant staff stopped him, saying it is private territory. The journalist failed to take photos but shot a video.
