YEREVAN. – Armenia hosted the 47th session of the CIS Electrical Energy Council that brought together energy ministers from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan as well as representatives of energy structures from other states.
The parties discussed simultaneous work of the energy systems of member states, integration of energy systems, technical upgrade, issues related to assistance in the event of accidents and emergency situations.
Armenia's Energy Minister Yervand Zakharyan said development of regional electricity power market and integration is a strategic issue for Armenia.
