YEREVAN. - Haykakan Zhamanak daily has learned that the Council of Europe (CoE) Committee of Ministers expert advisory group for the selection of judges to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has approved the candidates for the Republic of Armenia (RA) judge to the ECHR, reported the daily.   

“Session of the Selection Committee of Judges at ECHR will be held on June 9-10, during which the committee will select, through interviews, one of the three candidates the RA submitted, and vouch for his/her candidacy.

“And at the PACE [i.e. the Parliamentary Assembly of the CoE] plenary session, to be held on June 22-26, the assembly  delegates will elect the RA judge at the ECHR,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
