YEREVAN. - Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II defrocked Fr. Karapet Harutyunyan from the French diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The application submitted by Father Karapet served as the basis for the Order.
As of this day, the defrocked clergyman is a member of the laity and shall be known by his baptismal name of Vardan Harutyunyan.
