The Toshiba Company opens an official representation in Armenia, Igor Snytko, the Toshiba Europe General Manager for CIS and Baltic countries told a press conference on Thursday. According to him, the company will come on Armenia’s computer market, in particular notebooks. The company’s representative noted that Toshiba computers are more expensive, but stressed that they intend to sell computers on credit. He also expressed hope that the Armenian market will be promising, adding that the company plans to take on one of the leading roles in the local market.

Toshiba Europe Manager for Central Asia and Caucasus Igor Zhitskiy noted that the company’s experts have kept track of the Armenian market for several years. “We were not interested in the Armenian market two years ago, as there were no positive changes in the Internet services,” he told NEWS.am correspondent, adding that the situation has improved and the computer market is dynamically developing simultaneously with the spread of the Internet.
