YEREVAN. - The actual growth of salary in Armenia in 2014 constituted 5,7 per cent, Atom Janjughazyan, Deputy Minster of Finance and Chief Treasurer of Armenia, said in the parliament on Tuesday. The nominal growth of salaries constituted 8,3 per cent, the average salary amounting to 171,3 thousand AMD (approx. a little less than $360).
According to Janjughazyan, unemployment increased by 1,4 per cent in 2014, amounting to 17,6 per cent.
The 12-month inflation in January-December 2014 constituted 4,6 per cent, 3 per cent in average instead of the anticipated 5,5 per cent.
