YEREVAN. - Armenia President Serzh Sargsyan today received the delegation headed by Chen Changzhi, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China.  

In terms of strengthening interstate relations, Sargsyan noted the importance of high-level visits stimulating the development of relations and cooperation in different areas, Armenian President Press Service reports.

In this context Sargsyan touched on his visit and meetings, which resulted in important agreements and signing of documents aimed at the development of cooperation in a number of areas. The result of their implementation will be discussed at the session of the Armenian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission to be held in Yerevan. The president said Armenia seeks to further strengthen its relations with China and expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics in the bilateral relations of the countries.  

Chen Changzhi expressed satisfaction over the meetings with heads of Armenia’s legislative and executive authorities held in the framework of the visit. According to him, these meetings give new impetus to the interparliamentary and intergovernmental cooperation.

The interlocutors pointed out to the importance of cooperation in the framework of international organizations. They also highly appreciated the cooperation between the ruling parties of both countries.
