YEREVAN. - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, on Friday received a delegation from the Iran-Armenia Friendship Group of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament) of Iran; the delegation was led by head of this group, Ali Kaeidi.

Nalbandian praised the Armenian-Iranian good neighborly relations and underscored the bilateral political discourse.

Kaeidi, for his part, conveyed to Nalbandian the greetings by speaker Ali Larijani of the Iranian parliament. He also noted that the Iran-Armenia friendship relations create a good basis for development of cooperation.

The interlocutors highlighted the role of parliamentary friendship groups.

In addition, FM Nalbandian expressed gratitude to Iranian authorities for their caring disposition towards the Armenian community and the Armenian cultural heritage in Iran.

The parties exchanged views on several urgent regional matters.
