YEREVAN. – Armenia-Iran political consultations were held in Armenia's Foreign Ministry on June 11-12.
From the Armenian side the consultations were headed by Deputy Foreign Ministert Shavarsh Kocharyan and by Ibrahim Rahimpour from the Iranian side.
The sides discussed intensification of political dialogue, deepening of cooperation in the fields of energy, trade, humanitarian area as well as within international agencies. The parties touched upon implementation of joint economic projects, exchanged views on international and regional challenges.
Armenian Deputy FM briefed Iranian colleagues on the efforts of Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group mediators to settle Karabakh conflict. Iranian Deputy FM informed about the recent developments on negotiations over Iranian nuclear program.
