The police lines started moving towards the protesters who are sitting in Baghramyan avenue. After making several moves, they got a command to stop.
Deputy Chief of Police Valery Ospiyan continues negotiations with the protesters.
During the June 19 rally against the increase in the price of electricity, the “No to Plunder” initiative had unexpectedly announced,, that they were starting a three-day sit-in at Liberty Square, and giving the authorities deadline until 7pm Monday, June 22.
If the electricity price-hike decision is not canceled by then, they will head towards the president's residence, Baghramyan 26.
During the demonstration on Monday, the organizers said their mach to president's residence will be peaceful.
