YEREVAN. – The most of 237 activists detained after police crackdown on sit-in in Yerevan have been released, organizers of “No to Plunder” initiative said in Liberty Square on Tuesday evening. (photos)
They said the protest action will start as soon as their friends are released. Several hundreds have gathered in Liberty Square, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported.
Deputy Chief of Yerevan police Valery Osipyan said the police did not perform any illegal actions on Monday and will detain protesters if necessary.
