The administration of the Turkish province of Agri launched an investigation on the climbing of an Armenian group to Ararat.
A Turkish official, speaking on condition of anonymity, noted that the investigation’s objective is to clarify where Armenians lived and who accompanied them in their trip, Hurriyet reported.
In July two groups representing Armenian communities of U.S., Canada and Iran (overall 25 people) climbed Mt. Ararat and erected the flags of Armenia, NKR and ARF Dashnaktsutyun.
